Intro to the Wheel

Duration 1.5 hours of pottery tuition on the wheel, make up to 2 or 3 ceramic pieces & we’ll trim, glaze and even fire your best pieces for you if you like - to have your piece trimmed, bisque fired, glazed and glaze fired takes 4 - 6 weeks and costs $10 per piece.

1.5 hours of contact tutorage.
Make up to two/three ceramic pots with the help of a tutor - who will teach you all the steps in the process of throwing clay on the wheel. This class is great for budding new potters or even as a refresher class.
Choose a glaze** for your finished product. Pick up your finished piece once bisqued and fired 4/6 weeks after the class.
**pieces can be kept and glaze fired at a cost of $10 per piece

At Maison Clay we also cater for special events groups with exclusive use of the studio during your time here for adults and children alike. We will work with you to cater to your specific needs and requirements for a fun and unforgettable experience.

There will be an experienced instructor available throughout the session to help teach and guide participants - both on the wheel and in the hand-building space.
We can also organize special clays, glazes, and the tools needed for the specific occasion.
